***Message sent on behalf of the Parental Engagement Team***
Dear Parents, On Tuesday 27 March 2012, we are holding a meeting about the Academies process, in order to help parents and communities to understand what this process might mean. This will take place at:
The Learning Zone 320 Wordsworth Avenue S5 8NL Tuesday 27 March 2012, 6.30 - 8.30pm
We have arranged this meeting to answer some of the questions you might have, questions like:
What are academies?
·
How do schools change when they become an academy?
·
What are the benefits for parents and pupils?
·
What are the benefits of my local school becoming an academy?
·
What does it mean for my local community?
·
What does it mean for Sheffield?
The meeting is open to all, and is your opportunity to find out more, get answers, air your views and learn about Sheffield’s approach. If you are interested in attending, please email us at
parentalengagementteam@sheffield.gov.uk,
or call us on 0114 205 3902 to confirm your attendance.
